Gulf Stream sits just north of Delray Beach, so the drive down A1A to my studio is short. Ocean air is hard on color, and that is mostly what I plan around.
A Short Drive for Oceanfront Hair
Living on the ocean is wonderful for you and rough on hair. Salt air dries the cuticle, sun lifts color unevenly, and humidity brings frizz the minute you leave the house. If you are coming from Gulf Stream, the single most useful thing I can do is choose color and care that suit that exposure.
I usually start with a gloss or a tone adjustment, then talk through smoothing and at-home care. Small changes like a different shampoo schedule or a UV-protecting leave-in can extend how long a color looks fresh. I will tell you what is worth doing and what is not.
